A small team with a very high bar.
Scale⁴ is a two-person website studio in the North East of Scotland. We are developers first, which is why our sites are fast, our builds are quick and our promises are specific.
Good businesses, let down by their websites.
The pattern is always the same. A company that is genuinely good at what it does, with a site that was built in a hurry years ago by someone who has since moved on. It still loads. It still has the old logo. And it has been quietly costing enquiries ever since.
We take what already makes the business worth choosing, its history, its people, its own photography and its own words, and rebuild the site around that. Customers should recognise the company. They should also be slightly surprised by it.
Everything happens over a call, a shared preview link and email. There are no account managers and no hand-offs. The two people you speak to are the two people who build it.
Five things we won’t compromise on.
- 01Craft over concepts
One direction done properly beats ten sketches.
- 02Show, don’t pitch
A working preview settles more than any proposal.
- 03Speed is a feature
For your customer on a weak signal, and for you waiting on a launch date.
- 04Own your stack
Files you control, hosting in your name. If we vanished tomorrow, nothing would break.
- 05Plain English
In the quote, in the build, in the handover.

Based in Aberdeenshire, working with clients across the UK and further afield. A family firm and a company trading in several countries get the same treatment: one call, a preview within days, and a launch worth announcing.
